candiicollars  all you need to know about our hand felted candiicollars

hand felting
the wet felting process is labour intensive from designing the pattern/decoration to choosing colours to laying down the fine layers of merino wool.

and that's just the beginning. wet felting involves soaking the fleece in soapy water and working it until the fibres felt together. then there's the rolling and hitting processes. it can take quite a long time and is good for an upper arms work out - we are aiming for no bingo wings by the end of the year.
wearing your candiicollar
the candiicollar is the perfect alternative to a scarf. it's just as warm & sits perfectly around the neck without excess length to manage or tuck away. it looks great dressed down with jeans or as that finishing (warm) touch to that little black dress on route to a night out.

most candiicollars are supplied with a vintage or retro brooch to fasten but some designs work better with a hidden oversized popper fastener supplied by textile garden.

slim or wide fit?

slim fit are pin-tucked so that they sit neatly around your neck making a subtle statement

wide fit are more generous in size and are either tapered at each end where they meet…

wide fit candiicollar
…or not, but in both cases should be fastened crossed over in the front like a scarfini! wide fit candiicollar
graphic patterned collars (tulip and seed pod collections) are all about making a statement so are best shown off like scarfinis, crossed over in the front showcasing the design in full.  'black tulip' candiicollar
